"Treat fear like dope, stay away from it"

When presented with the option to move to St. Louis, MO my first thought was ohhh heeeeeeeeeeeeckkkkk no. However as time went on I began to evaluate WHY I wouldn't take the plunge. Was it friends and family? No. Was is work? No. Was it Fear? Absolutely.
Can you Identify a circumstance where you allowed fear to win?
Fear
Lets talk about the literal definition of fear ? Fear- an unpleasant
emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat) <- there is so much uncertainty in the definition of fear alone.
(Fear- a feeling or anxiety concerning the outcome of something .)
The words related to fear: evil, fright, panic….
I read on dictionary.com “FEAR IS OFTEN APPLIED toward something” Meaning you’ve adopted this attitude/feeling.
Every single day of our lives we encounter some type of fear.
Threats
Failure
Heights
Flying
Rejection
But have you ever noticed when you're afraid of yourself?
Doubt
Shame
Unforgiveness
Losing Control
Change
Love
Commitment
I came to the conclusion that all negative emotions are a choice. Anything that affects my peace, happiness, or character is not God, it's a trick of the enemy.
The word says he’s here to steal, kill, and destroy.
I take that as I need to stay strapped (With my bible and if need be, square up (With my prayers of course.)
You see, I spent a very long time being held captive to fear. Fear of letting go of the hurt! Because of what I experienced I feared love. I had this wall up between every person "close" to me. Never letting anyone close enough to see the pain I dealt with.
But the very thing I feared, freed me.
The enemy cannot steal my joy, kill my peace, or destroy my me by using me against myself. I choose to remain in faith because I know that’s exactly where my harmony is.
If there is one thing I've learned about this journey; when I’m most terrified, nervous, or anxious, and faced with more opposition than before; I know, I have to DO it OR have to SAY it.
Every day I keep in mind that: The Lord says to keep your faith and confidence in him, he tells you to fear not because He’s got you!
Who's gon' check God tho!?
So stand firm, and handle it, because you’re a warrior.
#Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:7, Isaiah 35:4, Joshua 1:9
Oh, and turns out since I moved to St. Louis; I discovered that I absolutely love it here. ;)
Be blessed, You are a Phenomenon
